I took part in an internationally-recognized publication managed by the School of Art and Design at UIUC last fall. Each student in this intensive studio class was in charge of an article, a cover and a video.
Shown here is the short story “Not Until You Say Yes,” by Steve Almond. The concept was to create a space with which the typography could live, relative to the isolation of the protagonists in the narrative.
Ninth Letter is a magazine that fuses image and typography into a cohesive, solid publication, and I was thrilled to be a part of its production.
